Project architect’s Stanley Beeman & Sears like to design buildings that have something special about them. For this project, they wanted a feature that would reinforce the themes they had designed into each floor of the new building and that would include interactive elements for the children. VisionQuest designed and developed an interactive video space, which allows the kids to control a 38’ wide x 16’ high video wall by stepping into lights on the floor. For example, if a child steps on the light that looks like a fish, ocean images from the Cousteau Society appear on the wall. If they step on the light that looks like a star, images of space from NASA appear. Surround sound audio and theatrical lighting enhance the experience. VisionQuest developed this project over a two year period and arranged for all of the media images to be donated to the hospital free of charge.
